So when I left off, it was Saturday night and Jas and I had just got back to the backpackers. We went to bed after watching some episodes of Warehouse 13.
Ok, so we only spent a few days in Pretoria between the two Cape Town trips, and all we really did was go to the zoo and Marabastad, and watch some movies. Some things might be slightly out-of-order, since I’m going from memory here, and when I don’t have uni or work to tell me what day it is (or Play School), I get confused.
Hey guys, just letting you all know that I’m really sorry that I haven’t been keeping up with the posts - I’m quite behind, and I know it!
Basically, my mum arrived here the day after we got back from Cape Town, and we’ve been busy showing her around, and in our free time, she hogs my computer. Seriously, she’s worse than I am! I know it’s an excuse, but it is the reason I haven’t posted recently.
And tomorrow I’m off with her (but not Jasmine, sadly) to Zimbabwe, and I’ll be there for my birthday, and until next week. So look forward to some really awesome pictures, and I will do my absolute best to catch up as quickly as possible.
Lots of love to you, and I hope you have a wonderful week. Sorry again for the lack of posting!
So last time I blogged I was about halfway through describing the first Cape Town trip. Yeah. I put ‘first’ there deliberately. We maaaaaaay have done a second trip to Cape Town since then. I have a lot to catch up on…
So as some of you may be aware, Jasmine and I had been back from Botswana barely a day before we decided that a trip to Cape Town would be a good idea! We just got back a little while ago, and this is what we did:
Woah, so I haven’t really done a general blog recently, so this is about the last few days, and my plans for the next week!
I suggest you read part 2 of this if you haven’t already (part 1 is not really related to Botswana). On with the story!
This is actually the third time I’ve written this blog post - my computer has been doing the ‘wow, shutting down on you is fun!’ thing, and I keep losing it all. Lame. This time I am being paranoid about saving it, though I don’t usually have any problems with it. Anyway, on to Botswana now!
While I’ve been travelling in Africa, I’ve come across some interesting/fun signs… Here they are!
Botswana:
What a nice happy sign!
I like the happy condom in the corner…
How do I drive? Naked, I drive!
NOOO! NOT THE SQUIRRELS!
South Africa:
Have some histoplasmosis - nothing better to comfort the tourists!
Road works? No! DOOM! You’re DOOMED!
